Though Pre-Dental is not an official degree program, Mizzou has resources dedicated to helping interested students pursue admission into dental school. These include:

  • MedOpp Advising. The MedOpp Advising Office provides pre-professional advising for ALL pre-med, pre-dental, pre-optometry, pre-physician assistant, and pre-podiatry students at MU. See https://premed.missouri.edu/prospective/ for more information.
  • Academic Advisor.

Dental schools accept applicants with a variety of majors which include everything from Music to Engineering; however, most students choose a Mizzou major with degree program requirements that overlap with requirements for dental school such as Biological Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Engineering, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, Psychology, and Health Sciences.
