Overview:
Occupational therapy provides skilled treatment helping individuals achieve independence in day-to-day living and working environments. Occupational therapists help children and adults with physical, developmental, social or emotional problems to acquire daily living skills needed to engage in meaningful activities. This includes teaching skills in a new way or providing special equipment or adapting buildings for activities ranging from self care to work, school, leisure and community pursuits.

Academic Information

Admission Requirements:
Students must apply to the professional phases of the Occupational Therapy program after completing 45 credits with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students are required to have achieved at least a grade of (B) 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the prerequisite 3 science courses (Biology, Physiology, Chemistry or Physics, all with lab), plus at least a (B) 3.0 on general psychology and sociology (or anthropology) before applying.

Minimum GPA for Admission: 3.0
