Overview:
Students may earn a Bachelor of Arts in the College of Arts & Science with an interdisciplinary major and an emphasis that focuses on women's studies. A minor is also available. Advising of students and aid in designing student-tailored academic plans in women studies is available from the Women’s and Gender Studies Office.

The curriculum includes women studies core courses as well as courses from several departments throughout the University. These courses are designed to evaluate present research and writing about women, question the stereotypes into which women have been cast and promote new research relating to women’s concerns.

Academic Information

Admission Requirements:
Any student may declare a major in Interdisciplinary Studies: Emphasis in Womens and Gender Studies. Students must complete College Algebra and English 1000 with a C- or above and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA to complete a graduation plan with the College of Arts & Science.

Minimum GPA for Admission: 2.0

Specifically required non-major courses for the BA degree:
None other than the requirements beyond A&S foundation requirements.
