Overview:
Biological engineering is a science-based engineering discipline that integrates engineering and biological sciences. The MU program prepares students for careers in biomedical, bioprocess, and bioenvironmental engineering. This degree is also an option for premedical and preveterinary students.

Academic Information

Admission Requirements:
The Engineering requirements for freshman admission are as follows:

An ACT Math score of at least 22, and
an ACT Composite of at least 24 or a high school class rank in the upper 25 percent.

Freshmen who do not meet the above criteria are admitted initially into the College of Arts and Science Pre-Engineering Program. Although admitted to the College of Arts and Science as freshmen, each Pre-Engineering student receives advising by an engineering advisor.

Pre-Engineering students are eligible to transfer to the College of Engineering on satisfactory completion of 24 credit hours with a 2.0 or higher GPA and a grade of C or better in Math 1500.

Minimum GPA for Admission: 2.0
