Overview:
The undergraduate study of communication will allow the student to have a better understanding and appreciation for the skill of communicating. Specifically, the Department of Communication, prepares professionals to think critically and evaluate messages. Communication messages range from persuassion, to information sharing, to one on one conversations, to media publications, and management.

Academic Information

Admission Requirements:
Students apply to the program during the semester in which they will complete 45 credits. Application requirements include: a competitive GPA (preferably 2.7), a grade of “B” or better in at least one Communication course (Comm 1200 or 2100) plus competitive average in all Communications classes, and at least a C- in English 1000 and College Algebra.

Minimum GPA for Admission: 2.5

Specifically required non-major courses for the BA degree:
None other than those required for Arts & Science Foundation requirement
