Integrated 150-hour Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSAcc) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc).
Overview:
The School of Accountancy aims to provide students with the knowledge, learning capabilities, and personal and professional skills necessary to assume leadership roles in a changing professional and business environment.
In today’s competitive global economy, accountants must possess much more than just technical knowledge. They must also have an extensive general business background as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The 150-Hour Program is designed to thoroughly prepare students in all of these areas.
Academic Information
Admission Requirements:
Undergraduate admittance to the 150-hour professional accountancy program requires completion of a minimum of 54 semester hours of college credit with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA for all course work attempted at all colleges or universities attended. Moreover, the course work completed must include the following pre-accountancy courses (or equivalent): Accountancy 2036 (or 2136H),Accountancy 2037 (or 2137H), Economics 1014 (or 1024), Economics 1015, English 1000, Math 1100, Math 1300 and Math 1320 OR Math 1500, Statistics 2500, and Management 1010.
To apply for the 150-Hour Program in Accountancy, at a minimum a student must
have a:
-3.0 cumulative overall GPA,
-3.0 GPA in each of Acct 2036/Acct 2136H and Acct 2037/Acct 2137H, and a
-3.0 average GPA over the set of specified pre-accountancy courses identified in the Undergraduate Catalog, as listed above. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Admission decisions are made in the spring for fall admissions only.
